Re-Brand - Studio Ghibli

Based on research of an existing brand or company, we were assigned to create a new brand identity. With the chosen animation studio, I redesigned their brand identity and created mock-ups to which their logo would be used.

I began by simplifying their logo so that the logo would be able to scale without any thin lines dissapearing like in their original logo. To keep the essence of the movies they create I kept their iconic character Totoro as part of their logo but integrated it to be within the logo rather then on the side. Focusing on the brand colours blue, white, and black, I created some official merchandise, as well as showing how the logo would look on screen before their animated films.
