Individual Letter/ Symbol Poster - Hashtag

For this project, everyone was assigned different letters or symbols which would be used as posters for the Ascenders New York Exhibition. I was assigned the hashtag symbol. With the hashtag in mind, I created a digital render of a hashtag symbol using blender and laid out the text format in indesign.

The concept for the hashtag symbol is to create the feeling of a window. Just like how the hashtag symbol has a similar shape to one, it was created with the material of glass. This is because both the window and the hashtag when looked past, it'll lead you to what's on the other side. The word hashtag was also written above the TDC logo so that its read as #TDC, making the hashtag lead you to the Type Directors Club event.
